Today I had the once in a lifetime opportunity to go watch America's Got Talent's auditions and participate in the recording of the show. I unfortunely wasn't allowed to take a camera or even my phone in so I'm not able to show you some of the amazing acts. I had such a great time, and I had the chance to meet Nick Cannon as well as the three judges.

    While I in no way consider myself a huge fan of the show I have had the opportunity to sit down and watch a few episodes. The biggest flaw that I find in this show is that towards the later rounds it just becomes a poor man's American Idol. While the beginning has magicians, comedians, and other interesting acts they all get weeded out fairly quickly. By the time we have come to the last 10 contestents almost every one of them is a singer. Although many of these singers have talent this show is no American Idol. It is for this reason that I prefer to watvh the opening rounds and seem to tune out until the last few weeks.
