The last mandatory blog post, I don't know if I'm sad or extremely excited right now. This has been such a great year filled with new experiences, good times, more privilages. I'm sad that it's actually coming to an end, but with every end there is a new beginning like they say. This was my best year, I've grown such much as a person and really enjoyed this year. From Ragtime, to finally driving, and the incredible people I have met thank you for this year and the fast approaching senior year!

I really like the colors in this photo, how orange the reflection of the setting sun appears on the water. I also like how the darkness surrond the picture can represent the ending of the day or maybe other things that are ending like our school year.

I really like this picture, the way the photography captured the sun with the clouds, it takes my breath away. Imagine witnessing a momentthis spectacular? When I look atthis picture, I take away that the persojn is beginning to walk into the light (symbolized by the sun) from the shadows (the darkness surronding).

The first time I looked at this image I thought is was just a photograph of shoes but then I did a double take and realized the people were stuck within the shadows of thier shoes. I admire the person who was able to create this photography, they had an incredible eye to see the people in the shadow of thier shoes. By looking at this I take away from it that it supports the old family saying "there is more then meets the eye." Much, much more.

This is my favorite picture that we took backstage during intermission the opening night for Ragtime. It captures how happy all of us are to be performing this show together because in a sense I feel like we've all become a big family sinice we spend so much time together and work hard with each other. This is a classicin my memory book, just like black and white photos always are...

Color Splash is a type of photography that the photo overall is black and white but the photographer wants to enhance a certain feature or object witin the photo so they leave that in color. In this picture, the photographer wants the viewer to see the true blue color of te girl's eyes so you used the color splash method to do so. This is one of my favorite methods for the simple bold statement the one enhancedarea of color makes.

Ragtime

Cypress Bay's AMT,
American Musical Theater is performing our very own version of broadway's Ragtime. Come watch us on Wednesday May 6th throug Saturday May 9th. We ave taken such pride in this show and truely hope a lot of people show up to see it. Tickets will be sold at all lunches for five dollars. Hope to see you there ! I'm extrememly excited.

I forgot to mention how I passed the test in my last post, and how I'm so happy to gain the indepence of driving on y own.

I really like this photography, I have always wanted to take a picture underwater but sadly none of my camera'scan hold up to it.

Today I went to take my driving test which I finally convinced my father to let me take due to the fact that I need it to get a parking decal. While sitting outside I begin getting very nervous so I took a deep breath and thought about how beautiful of a day is was. Simple and pretty like these yellow flowers.

I took this picture from my hotel room when I vacationed to Maui, Hawaii. It's a pretty photograph but to actually experience the sunset upon the Pacific waters breathtaking can't even describe it. I loved it, and recomened everyone to try and visit Hawaii to watch the beautiful sunsets upon the water its incredible.

"The voice of the sea speaks to the soul"
Today was not my day. So I decided to post a picture of the ocean, because the ocean always calms and relaxes me. Sitting in the sand and enjoying the peaceful sounds of the crashing waves or the light brush of the sea breeze is my haven. On this sweet sweet sandy shore; just the sea, the sand, and me.

It is now that incredible time after the third quarter when we have Spring Break approaching! It's one single day away and I am ecstatic! I believe we are all in the need of Spring Break to lay out and relax. Then we come back and kick it till summer vacation. I think this picture is relaxing and fun at the same time; just what my break will have to offer.

Today I had the once in a lifetime opportunity to go watch America's Got Talent's auditions and participate in the recording of the show. I unfortunely wasn't allowed to take a camera or even my phone in so I'm not able to show you some of the amazing acts. I had such a great time, and I had the chance to meet Nick Cannon as well as the three judges.

My favorite category of photography is nature. It is caught with such beauty as mother nature herself. Any photo with clouds, flowers, beach scenes or landscapes I adore. These kinds of pictures relax me.

I was going through all my favorite photography pictures and viewing the ones that I have post here on my blog and realized something important, I share my photography and pictures I like with my fellow commentors and bloggers. But they never share pictures with me. So I would like if you guys shared a piece of photography that you persoanlly like with me this week.

Thanks.

"Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle. Live simply, love generously, care deeply and speak kindly… Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass….it’s about learning to dance in the rain."
I love inpirational quotes, as you might have noticed by now, and this one is by far one of my favorites. People generally look upon the rain as negaive, but actually the rain brings life to the world so isn't techniquely positive? Its pure, simple, and beautiful. It's the thunderstorms that are scary. You should try enjoying a dance in the rain one day.

When I look at this picture I see a child who is living in proverty but is still happy to have a man's best friend. The love and comfort from the puppy keeps the child happy, and as his eyes show hope.

Personal Reflection

I have been pondering my current place, my past, my goals and plans on my future. I have thought about the events that I have experienced, the things I have gone through, but most importantly the things I have overcome. I feel that there were a couple of times I could’ve handled things much different and better but, my reactions, mistakes, and regrets have made me and shaped me. I’m using all the good from the bad I have seen, all the optimism that hid through my pessimistic times to learn from yesterday, live through today, and reflect on to tomorrow. I want to rid myself of all that negativity and doubt that has filled me. I want to live up to the image that I have of myself: blissful, optimistic, compassionate, kindhearted, and all other good this world has to offer; I want to display it. I don’t feel that I have lived up to that, I’ve slacked, I have done things I certainly shouldn’t have.

I am smarter and wiser then I have been the past year and a half but I know that was blinded by how I allowed a difficult time period to kick me into the down-in-the-dumps. I know I’m capable of at least three times of what I am doing. Something I realized on Wednesday was how everything I used to do was to please my parents, live up to their image of me and what they expected me to be. Now I know in their eyes I don’t live up to their image of “Tiffany”, and never will. They made me, they molded me with morals and manners but, I am my own independent person and I need to do things for myself things to make myself happy, not just for them. I live up to my own image and they will have to learn to respect and be proud of who I am, not remain in their perceived parochial thoughts of me. They’re forever my parents and I love them to death.

I have the determination, opportunity, and passion to fulfill my lifelong dreams and goals. If I allow my problem from the past, and problems throughout my day to dwell and float within my mind, bring down my mood, and cloud my thoughts I won’t be able to be ambitious toward my goals. So from now on I’m living my life differently. I will do things for myself, I will not let things bother or get to me, I will try harder then my best at all that I do, I will rid myself of all the negative qualities I have as habits. Today is a new day of me, the new better Tiffany.

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder."
I love this picture even though I know it was photoshopped to look like this. I love how nature is covered by hearts and peaceful bubbles. Post one of your favorite pictures, why is this your favorite?

My Destiny

"Each person comes into this world with a specific destiny--he has something to fulfill, some message has to be delivered, some work has to be completed. You are not here accidentally--you are here meaningfully. There is a purpose behind you. The whole intends to do something through you." -Osho

I firmly believe in this quote. That we all have a chosen destiny that we are born to perform while we live here on Earth. I know that I am not here to waste space and resources on this planet, I know that I am ment to positively impact as many lives around me as I can. I'm aware that most don't think it's possible for one person to make a difference, but I believe I can. Everyday I wake up and vow to myself to do the best I can in helping others. I want to travel around the world later on and in each place I visit I want to make a difference in at least one person's life. Whether it was giving their family a meal that night, or anything else they pysically need.
What do you believe your destined to do?

I begun dancing when I was three years old. I danced for thirteen years, ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, lyrical, modern, musical thearter, and hip hop. Dance is an amzing way to exprience yourself, your emotions through your movements. I will always have a passion for dance, it runs through my blood. My steps are constantly followed by an outburst of dance moves.
I miss dancing.

"Be the change that you want to see in the world." -Mohandas Gandhi
Us as humans, have the potential to make a diffence in this small world. Gandhi is an inspirational role model to me, and I believe in everything he stood for. Peace, nonviolence, change, and so much more. It only takes one person to start a revolution, to open other people's eyes.

I must admit I have been so excited during the group project in class! I have now discovered Glogster and I am addicted to this scrapebook like website. It is amazing what you can create. But what is even better is that my Glogs show up as one of the top in searches! I needed to share my excitement.

Anyway, this is one of the photos I used in my "Nature, the Gentlest Mother" Glog (check it out). Its a gentle and sweet photo from how the flowers are arranged in a heart within a sea of grass.

Love works in miracles every day: such as weakening the strong, and strengthening the weak; making fools of the wise, and wise men of fools; favouring the passions , destroying reason, and in a word, turning everything topsy-turvy.

This Saturday is Valentines Day, and in honor of it I chose to pick a picture that delt with love. Even though now that I have actually thought about it, Valentines day has become a pointless holiday to me when it was my favorite before. Why should we only show our loved ones how much they mean to us on one specific day a year? Shouldn't we continuously remind them throughout every single day? Everyday we should pass around our love and show how much we care, not just on Valentines Day.

This Week

"When the world says give up, hope whispers try it one more time."

I really like this photo. I believe that this picture represents hope and comfort during difficult times. This week has been an extremely difficult one for me because of being sick and the enormous amount of schoolwork. This picture helps me see the light within the darkness.

"We all need someone
To talk to in our life,
A special friend to whom we run
In times of stress or strife
A best friend who's always there
Throughout the years,
A friend I know will care
And diminish my fears.
An angel who's always near,
Waiting for my call,
To wipe away my tears,
And lift me whenever I fall.
A loving friend indeed,
On whom I can depend
To fulfill my every need
Thank you, my precious friend."
My best friend Tanya wrote that poem for me. It is a gift I forever will remember. I picked this picture to go along with her poem because it gives me the greatest joy in the world to know I have an amazing incredible friend. Makes me want to attempt cartwheels in a beautiful sunset that just simply breathtaking. Its a blessing to be able to have one great friend, its all you need in life along side your family.

My Birthday Vacation

For my sixteenth birthday my parents gave me the option of either having a 'Sweet Sixtenth Party' or traveling to Hawaii. Me being the traveler that I am, of course I chose to spend two weeks in Hawaii. The top picture on the left was taken on the day of my birthday, June 16 by professional photographers in Oahu. I love the lighting in this picture. The following two photos I took myself either while my father was driving or whenever we stopped. Everything was just so beautiful, it was the best
vacation by far.

Welcome Home

Today my cousin Ashley flew down from New Jersey to finally see her new home in South Florida. She is beyond excited so as seen as school let out we were on the move to furniture shop and see her new home sweet home. When they were going to enter I chose to take pictures and videotape their reactions because I did help buy their house and wanted to see their reaction! Hope you enjoy :).

Introduction

Welcome to my blog on photography, my name is Tiffany. Photography is a hobby that I deeply enjoy. I love to take pictures as well as view pictures taken by others. I love seeing the different angles a scene can be captured from and how the photographer saw the image.
This picture to the left is one of my most favorite pieces of photography. It is like the girl is about to float into the sea of clouds, right into the peaceful beauty of the clouds.
